Developed a professional server-side interactive website leveraging design patterns to improve the site's usability. Structured a database with multiple tables and foreign keys, queried relationships between tables using common fields, and built user access controls to limit user's abilities on the site.

Designed a catalog website displaying New York's Top New Restaurants using common user interface design patterns. Rendered server-side content from a database and implemented self-processing sticky forms with data validation and corrective feedback. Securely executed an SQL with untrusted data.

Porting a Static Site to a Server-Side Rendered Site

Redefined a personal website design by converting a static website to a dynamic server-side rendered site. Implemented server-side rendering in PHP and enabled HTTP requests through customized routing in PHP. Evaluated the site for accessibility through WAVE accessibility audits.

Re-designing the Apple Harvest Festival Website

Redesigned the annual Ithaca Apple Harvest Festival website. Used HTML, CSS, and Javascript to create a responsive design for desktop and mobile devices. Gained familiarity with user-centered design through user interviews, applying effective design principles, and evaluating its design through user testing.

Created a website for Cornell's LOKO Dance team with 4 other web designers. Gained real-world experience in designing and building a website in a team environment for a real client. Balanced client goals with effective design to appeal to the site's audience, collaborating efficiently with team members using version control through GitHub.
